Frustrated

Mr Stuff

I know there are no magic bullets or miracle cures for whatever my condition may be but I thought I’d at least start to see some improvements after the surgery by now, but nothing yet. My stomach has been very upset for the last few days and I ache like I’ve just run a marathon. I just did some washing up and it has left me weak as a kitten, I’d imagine if I was to try that Pepper would beat me at arm wrestling right now. And it’s starting to frustrate me.

I know that I am still recovering from surgery and even though it was keyhole it still involved cutting holes in me and cutting out my gall bladder, so my abdomen is still trying to sort itself out. Maybe I’m just trying to hard to see improvement and should just leave it, chill out and let my body do it’s thing but it’s hard to do that when I feel so weak and the abdominal cramps keep going.

The recovery continues

Mr Stuff

It’s been nearly 3 weeks since the op and I’m still getting a lot of pain and cramps from the holes they made in me. I really thought it would have died down by now but I’m still very uncomfortable a lot of the time.

The heatwave has died down now which is good since the heat was making me fidget a lot and causing my abdomen to cramp up. But the problem I seem to be having now is that my digestive system seems to be unhappy about everything I eat, maybe it’s because of the lack of gall bladder so everything is a bit out of balance until my liver takes over. But it’s really uncomfortable and is making me very fatigued, so a lot of the time I’m just sleepy. Not so good

It’s time to say stop

Mr Stuff

Having just watched another sitcom try and pretend that people were playing video games it’s time to say on more.

I know i’ll come across as an angry games nerd, but i am and proud of it. But when you see people on tv pressing all the buttons and muttering something that sounds vaguely games-like it’s just pathetic and wrong. To put it in perspective it would be like someone pretending to drive by sitting in the passenger seat pressing buttons on the dashboard saying “watch out for that red light”, then show a rally car jumping over a hill.

The games industry earns more money worldwide than hollywood so they could at least try harder.

Nearly her first big kill

Mr Stuff

And nearly her first big injury.

Earlier I saw that there was a pigeon in the hedge, which there have been a lot of recently and it wasn’t long before Pepper also noticed it and before I knew it she was on the fence thinking about stalking it. I thought this was quite cute so I took a few pics and while I was wandering behind her to try and get a better pic she took a big leap at it. I was fairly surprised but nowhere near as much as the pigeon.

A small scuffle ensued before they both fell out of the hedge and the bird flew away. It all happened so quickly that it is hard to say how Pepper fell and what she landed on, since it is about a 9 foot drop to concrete as long as you miss the bench, but she seemed to be OK. I’ll keep an eye on her to make sure there is no lingering injury but here is a pic just before it happened. I’ve put a ring around the bird because it is a little hard to see, and you’ll want to click on the thumbnail to see the full pic in case you didn’t know.

It’s that time again

Mr Stuff

Today was one of those days when I had to go and pick up a new load of prescriptions so it must be time for Episode III of Mr Stuff’s Prescription House :)

Toasty

Mr Stuff

Cor blimey guv it’s gotten a bit warm, I might even say a bit too warm for me. I don’t mind warm but muggy hot is just nasty and seems to have kicked off a load more abdominal cramps and general abdominal pain. Not too good.

But the thing that has pissed me off more than the heat is the way the news channels are dealing with it. It’s not that much of a secret that since they went to 24 hour news they have become a bit crap, trying to fill the endless hours with non-news and tedium. But they have been going on about climate change like nobodies business, like we’ve never had heatwaves before. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to watch them, which is why I tend to watch them a lot less. In fact for the last week I’ve found myself watching the tennis and enjoying it. There is something quite soothing and relaxing about watching it, and after watching the late night blockbuster that was Murray’s last match I found myself silently cheering him on.
